With its soothing cream colored walls, classic paneling and matching wood tables and bright crystal chandeliers, the Coffee Bar in Lawrence is a comforting and welcoming dairy restaurant located in a prime shopping district. Owner Tuly Wolcowitz has brought to the Five Towns an establishment that is both an upscale coffee house and a casual dining restaurant. The Coffee Bar proudly serves exclusively Starbucks coffee, putting a Cholov Yisroel twist on many Starbucks favorites. Particularly popular among regulars is the caramel macchiato.
Modern coffee shops are known for their paninis and the Coffee Bar puts a local variation on this favorite with their Five Towns Panini made with roasted peppers, zucchini, portabella mushrooms, mozzarella and pesto. In addition to a variety of sandwiches and paninis, entrees include three-egg omelets served with Israeli salad and French fries such as their unique Herb Omelet made with basil parsley and oregano. The Coffee Bar offers a wide variety of pastas with fresh ingredients, such as tortellini with sautéed onions, peppers and garlic; penne with homemade pesto; and ravioli available with an exciting array of fillings such spinach and spinach with cheese. Many diners opting for dinner rather than lunch enjoy The Coffee Bar’s fish entrees, such as Salmon (available with either teriyaki, bbq, or honey mustard sauce), Grilled Tuna Steak, and Scampi Nile Perch baked on a bed of fresh tomatoes topped with scampi sauce. A perfect complement to the British style décor is the Sole served either fried, with a lemon sauce or “Santa Fe style” with broccoli, spinach, and melted mozzarella. All fish entrees except Lemon Sole come with a choice of two sides.
